Our U15 Camogie girls travelled to Clonduff last Saturday to take part in the Down Féile.
A huge thank you to Clonduff for the excellent set-up and for being such welcoming hosts throughout the day.
Despite the windy conditions, the girls played every game with great skill, determination and pride in the jersey.
The team also had the honour of bringing a special piece of club history with them, as the vintage Holy Cross GFC banner was proudly carried in the tournament procession. A sincere thank you to Elizabeth Keenan for preserving this treasured banner for special occasions. The late John Keenan brought it to countless big days over the years, and it was a proud moment for his granddaughter and player, Orlagh, to carry it on the day.
Maith thú to Kyra Maginn, who captained the team superbly and led by example in every game & comhghairdeas to Myleene Murphy, named Most Valued Player on the day for her outstanding representation of her team.
A big thank you to all the parents who came along to support the girls. Your encouragement means so much.
Girls, you made each and every one of your coaches incredibly proud!
